From the exhibition 2018 exhibition 'Walking Pace'

Walking Pace is an exhibition of paintings that are the result of Dore Stockhausen’s two-week residency at Cradle Mountain National Park. The artist spent her time there exploring the unique surroundings by foot to absorb herself in the colours, patterns, and forms found within both the natural and the man-made. The paintings that came out of this process are not a portrayal of the actual landscape, but an engagement with its mystery. Stockhausen wishes for the viewer to look more observantly at the world around them to see the beauty in the natural and the fabricated environments.

Dore’s paintings are supplied ready to hang with a sturdy wire and D rings bolted to the aluminium support tubes that are bonded to the rear of the composite panel.
The small paintings have a simpler system but likewise are ready to hang. All paintings have silicon stops mounted to the rear to help keep the paintings hanging straight.

Your painting purchase will not include shipping as the cost can vary greatly according to destination and packaging. We are able to arrange shipping world wide taking great care to pack large paintings in purpose built timber crates and ship with DHL. Smaller paintings may be posted and we can sometimes handle delivery ourselves if not too far – please contact us to make arrangements.
