10 week jewellery making course with Marcus Foley

For Beginners - Make a pierced silver ring!
For the more advanced - Earrings galore!

An introductory 10 week course to the art of jewellery making (gold smithing) taught by Marcus Foley at oneofftwo contemporary jewellery in Nungurner.
Marcus has 30+ years experience in this field and has previously conducted workshops at various institutions and studios around Australia.

Up to 4 participants in the class will be shown the formative skills in gold and silver-smithing with the goal of producing an individually designed pierced silver ring . This project is perfect for novices as it will introduce you to various skills, including, sawing, soldering, drilling, filing and planishing (hammering). For those participants with more experience there will be the opportunity to design and make your own silver earrings and learn a variety of new techniques.

Classes  held on Friday mornings 10 am to 1 pm

Cost for the 10 week class is $540,-
A deposit of $140,- will be payable to secure a place. The remainder being payable on the day of each 3 hour session. ie. 10 x $40 p/week.

Oneofftwo is a purpose built workshop with gold smithing benches and tools, enameling kilns and equipment. You will of course be free to bring your own hand tools if you have them.

Please wear covered shoes and be prepared to tie long hair back.

If extra sessions are needed for students to complete their work they may be scheduled on a pro rata basis.
